Struggles continue for red wolves

The road is tough for red wolf survival. I wrote in March about another possible setback for red wolves. The NC Wildlife Resources Commission passed the proposed rule allowing night hunting of coyotes and feral pigs. There is a long process ahead, so maybe miracles do exist for this amazing animal.

If you’re interested in signing a petition “against” this ruling, click here, or go to http://forcechange.com/20384/overturn-decision-to-allow-unlimited-night-hunting-in-north-carolina/

  1. I have to admit I love hunting and the outdoors. That said, I’m a big fan of reasonable regulation. What fun is hunting with artificial lights? And if we hunt all the animals all the time now, what will there be left to hunt later? Hunters are natural conservationists — unfortunately many of us just won’t know it until it’s too late. Good luck with your petition!
