   I love when the sunflowers pop up in the bear yard! Too bad we don’t get watermelons growing in there too…

   Maybe not watermelons, but there are pumpkins growing the the farmyard!

   I’m sure it would be more trouble than it’s worth but it would be cool enrichment to sow some wild flower seeds in the yard and see what the bears make of them. I’m just imaging Yona frolicking in a big patch of bachelor’s buttons as my happy image of the day.

     We ( the Jim part of we) have been trying to get other things to grow in the bear yard. We’ve put three large trees along with some blackberry bushes (blackberry bushes, even though behind electric fence, have been dug out by one or more of our group).
