Intern Update and Goodbye
As the Spring Semester winds down, we say goodbye to Interns Carrie, Jana, and Mae. Since January, they have contributed over 900 hours of work to the Museum as they learned what it was like to be an Animal Keeper at the Museum. They will be missed. Volunteer Groups.
Thanksgiving is coming so it’s important to remember and send out our gratitude to our volunteers. We’ve got lots of people who help us get our work done- we couldn’t get our work done without volunteers. We’ve got regular animal department volunteers, like Annie and Donald. Interns continue to help us out.
Davidson County Community College has a zoo keeper program. We typically get student interns every year. We help train them on what it is like to be an animal keeper. I received an email from former intern Jill Sharp recently about their Haunted Trail event next week.
