You know Autumn was out on maternity leave, and now back. Leslie, from our communications department and Diet-prep helper, also had a wonderful end to last year. Keeper Mary

I mentioned a week or so ago when posting about the copperhead I would tell you a bit more about Keeper Mary. Mary joined our team this past June and has been a great gift to us from the beginning. Before joining our team she worked at the Brandywine Zoo in Delaware for many years. She does our weekly grocery shopping and quickly picked up the routine. Christmas 2017

So, I’m sweating at 5:30. Last night I set out shorts and sweat pants and a sweatshirt. I know I am always hot with the heat blowing while working indoors, so I set out layers to wear today. Autumn Update

The last post from Autumn, about Mimi’s behavior, will be her last for awhile. Autumn will be home for the next few months with Bella, her daughter, born the end of October. Bella weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 21 inches long at birth. We wish Autumn and her family the best and look forward to having Autumn back next year.Read more

Closed Monday projects- Thank you Aaron

Lots and Lots of work occurs on our Closed-Monday projects. Thus far, we’ve removed dead trees from the lemur exhibit, pressure washed every barn in the farmyard, dusted all the lighting in Carolina Wildlife, and mowed and seeded the bear yard. Aaron took one for the Team on Monday as he cleaned up underneath the Aviary and Muskrat exhibits in Carolina Wildlife.
