In 5-6 weeks I hope to be writing about WOLF PUPPIES. Ranger Greg has been blogging and tweeting about what he’s seen our wolves up to. We certainly hope it’s about puppy-making. We won’t know for sure until we actually see pups since the past two years our female has gone through pseudopregnancies. I drove almost 1000 miles last week to get our new male wolf, 1414. He’s 7 years old, over 70 pounds, and he’s sired pups for the past three years at the Miller Park Zoo. We’re hoping that he and our female (1287) will have pups together this spring. We’ll share photos of him soon.Read more
