Quick Pic: Rescued!

While in the wolf exhibit, Aaron was skimming out the pool and as he flung debris out I realized there was a baby turtle in the mix! I quickly scooped her up and carried her out of the wolf exhibit. Our wolves are very skilled predators and this turtles fate would have been bleak had I not grabbed her! I safely carried her over to the wetlands and let her go!    Read more

Eggstravaganza!

I think I love making enrichment for the animals more than they like to receive it sometimes! I especially like to do things that are themed or are just really fun to make! Yona on Ice!

With the cold weather in the past month the pool in the bear exhibit froze over. It was so frozen that the middle pool could actually hold the weight of the bears! Typically, the bears tend to avoid the snow and ice but on this particular day I guess Yona was feeling playful! Lemurs get new toys, too!
