Erin wrote a great post last year on tracking lemurs. Last month some of the keepers practiced their lemur tracking skills. Each of our lemurs wear a collar so that if they get out of their exhibit we can find them. The other day I was cleaning EHR (our education animal holding room) and the first animal I came across was Jessica Opposum. She had a sleepover in the playpen the night before and I just had to show everyone where she chose to sleep… in a ferret hammock, now there is a significant difference in the size of ferrets vs opposums. Last week’s medical procedures
A rough week it was: May 13: X-rays for Jean, one of our Farmyard rabbits. She was found in the morning with her leg not quite right. We got her checked out by our vet, and x-rays indicated some dislocated metacarpals.
