Enrichment for the animals is a big part of our job here at the museum.I walked into the reptile room and was able to snap this photo of Zoe who appears to be looking at his. The turtles also have had rubber ducks,tunnels and rubber balls.If you have a suggestion what Zoe might like, let us know in the comments section.
Maybe Zoe would like to look at a picture of a girl turtle 🙂
What about a fan blowing on the water or something that drips to simulate rain? Do turtles care about the weather?
Thanks for the suggestions.Leslie, we have water that continuously comes out of a filter and circulates the tank. I guess for enrichment purposes we could turn the pump OFF for a day.
