We said goodbye to our beloved opossum, Chandler, Friday night. We noticed over the past week that he was not his usual self. (I.e. not interested as much in food, some “coughing”, or deep abdominal breathing, and generally having a harder time getting settled). Last week in September
I can’t believe it’s going to be October next week. The time is flying by. The Team is preparing for cooler temperatures, getting winter supplies ready to deploy as needed in the coming months. Meet Chandler, our new opossum
Chandler was born this spring and was orphaned. His tail had to be amputated and he was not a good candidate to be returned to the wild so he is joining us here. Our staff will start using him in Education and other programs in August. Read more
