Diego Follow-Up

Winter Storm Diego hit us hard. The weight of the snow caused numerous trees to snap or bend throughout campus. Fortunately, the animals seem fine; power and fences held; and the Keepers who were able to get to work did so unscathed. We still have a lot more clean up to do, but I for one am very thankful that it wasn’t worse. We had quite a bit of heavy snow — up to 12 inches in some areas.  AboutRead more

Wolves in Snow

The 1-3 inches of snow we expected on January 17 turned into 9 inches to almost one foot of snow in some areas. Not the best footage with my phone, sorry, but some quick snips of the wolves in the snow from the 18th of January.    Read more

Snow Day

The weather could have been worse for sure, and we didn’t lose power, but I am a bit tired from the day. I was up way too early, and got to the Museum around 5 this morning.
