So far, Spring has provided us with some very crazy weather. One day it is 70 degrees with a nice breeze then a cold and rainy day the next. Mid-march brought us some icy conditions then recently we had a hail storm pass through. We make sure that we are constantly looking at the weather so that we can make sure to prepare the animal areas for whatever weather that is coming our way. Last week’s snow
It’s been so busy I haven’t had time to share photos with you. Some places at the Museum had as much as 3 inches of snow, and we were closed on Wednesday. I thought the bears would be thrilled to have the 15 pounds or so of nuts that my neighbor left on my doorstep last week. However, in addition to the almonds and hazelnuts that Donna left on my doorstep, the bears received their own mail at the Museum. 50 pounds of walnuts arrived at the Museum addressed to the four of them!
