1803: meet our incoming male red wolf

You learned last week that our current red wolf family will be moving out and that we’d be getting new red wolves in November. Our next male red wolf will be coning to us from the Wolf Conservation Center in NY. My friend from the Wolf Conservation Center in NY sent me these beautiful photos of M1803. Puppies at NY Wolf Conservation Center

Our Friends at the Wolf Conservation Center in New York welcomed 7 red wolf pups on Saturday! A big litter from a new pairing recommended at last year’s Red Wolf SSP meeting.   We’re hopeful for pups here too, with our new pair (1784 and 1794). However, if you recall, this is what our female looked like during breeding season any time the male came by. We’d look for pups at the Museum the end of May.    Read more
