Wendy the thief!

Last week I was on my way out of the office to bring invoices to the business office. I set my papers down to answer a phone call. A few minutes later, I went to pick up my stack of papers, and noticed my pink copy of an invoice on the floor, but the white receipt that was stapled to it was missing. I searched the desk, my office, everywhere, and repeatedly. I was so frustrated having lost the invoice- I did not understand where it went. About 15 minutes later I noticed the corner of a piece of white paper behind the office door. I opened the door, and there was my white paper, slightly crumpled up, and with a hole in it.
I was relieved, and then I chuckled: Wendy the Woodchuck had been out getting exercise on our hall. My paper must have fallen on the floor, and she proceeded to make bedding out of it. I didn’t get a photo of that, but I did write a detailed note to our business office staff explaining why my paperwork was looking the way it was.

Below is a video I took to show you what Wendy can do with paper. (She deserves the nap at the end after such hard work!)

I have already watched this video 3 times today and it still makes me chuckle. I love when she plays “pancake”.

  1. […] This is Wendy, our Woodchuck. She was standing outside my office this morning when I walked out to check on something.  It always makes me smile to see her.  I don’t see her much during the winter as she spends most of it sleeping.  She’s at her post-winter weight- looking pretty skinny in this photo. She goes into winter hibernation around 5 Kgs and comes out around 3.5 Kgs. Katy can chime in the comment section and let us know the exact weights.  Click here to see a cute video of Wendy […]
