Spotlight: Daniel Bjorklund

danielMeet Daniel Bjorklund. He works in the Museum’s Facilities Department. (Prior to that he was an animal keeper and prior to that he worked in the Facilities Department).  It’s really helpful to have someone know a lot about the world of the animal department from first hand experience working in our “fix it” department.

We need help from other staff all the time. Daniel has fixed and replaced the wolf pool pump and float more than once. He is like Superman when it comes to figuring out which wire on the electric fences is causing the issue.

Daniel can handle just about anything: dealing with electric issues, replacing pumps and pipes, finding and fixing leaks, changing ceiling tiles… the list goes on and on. He even takes great photos and shares them! I cannot even remember what he was doing in the ceiling, but I am sure it was something important!

Click here to see some wonderful shots from long ago when Daniel was much younger. These photos made me smile. Enjoy.

Thanks to Daniel for all he does to keep things going in the animal department.
