Gypsy goat update

I mentioned in the past week that things have been mostly fine. Thank goodness, as it’s hard enough to deal when things are going well. Lightning seems much improved, as you can see in my game of fetch with him. We’ve been treating him for a couple weeks now for an apparent ulcer. Christmas 2019

Happy Christmas! Today has been incredibly smooth. I am sure it is due to the abundance of help. Yesterday we had an almost full contingent of staff, and today, Keeper Chris and Volunteer Virginia were in to help this morning. Given the help, it meant my start time was much later. Shearing is a critical part of taking care of our alpacas. Alpacas are native to South America. Their fleece helps keep them warm in the cold climate of the Andes Mountains.
